College: The first sem.

since August I have expanded in so many different ways and im so excited to talk about it and finally write down all ive experienced and learned.

COLLEGE

with the ending of my first REAL college semester over, i feel so good and free! advice for hs students right now though: take as many college crediting classes as you can! i did part-time college credit plus in high school and wish i would have done full-time. it will save you THOUSANDS + youll get right into the classes you actually want to take.

Majoring in fashion merchandising, I usually get asked "what's that" or the most famous one "oh, so you design clothes." So this one right here is for my grandpa mainly, who has asked both to me :) Merchandising is the business side of fashion; it is getting the clothing garments and the fresh new ideas/designs out into stores and to the customers. Merchandising can branch into a million different things, but that is just a broad and general understanding of it. My first semester classes were a LOT of work but i couldnt have picked a better major for myself. besides the cold, snowy, spread out campus (and the fashion building being years away from my dorm) i love kent, and i LOVE the fashion program.

I met Alana through a facebook roomate search page and im sooo happy that i got someone as laid back and easy-going as me. one of the most refreshing things for me was rooming with someone i didnt know and getting a fresh start. one of the biggest fears of starting college is rooming with a stranger and sharing your things with them, but after the first time i met Lan we got along so well and i havent felt any awkward moments together (except when she eats chicken nugs...she dips them in caramel...like wut) SO we recently signed leases to live in an apartment together next year, YAY!

so basically what ive got so far is...

college is fun.

meet new people,

do things that make you uncomfortable and scared,

spend an ungodly amount of money on starbs,

be basic...like, super basic,

and LIVE YOUR LIFE WHILE YOU CAN

no one will know you! re-invent yourself and be who you want to be in this world!
